I worked part time at a retail store and they asked me to help the office manager to do the payroll entries. I graduated from university and I decided to apply for a fulltime Payroll job. I landed that job in May 1978. I worked for 42 years fulltime in Payroll, HR and Finance. I volunteered with the Canadian Payroll Association, was on the CPA Board and now I am on the Board of Advisors for NPI. The roles in Payroll, HR and Finance are at the heart of a company so go for these roles!
