I celebrated by making 13 Kiva loans (kiva.org) -- one for each Canadian province and territory -- all to women-owned businesses in different countries around the world. I've been part of Kiva for many years! Kiva is crowd-sourced micro-lending which lifts up hardworking folks in countries that lack both money and financial services. I love reading people's stories -- it's inspiring! And I love playing a small role in helping to change lives and improve living standards globally.
