I focused on accounting classes in and after high school, and after a number of "regular" jobs, owned a convenience store business for 5 years. When I wanted to get off of that 24/7/365 roller coaster, I found a finance position that did payroll, AP, AR and more. When that position was split a year later, I started my payroll journey and have not looked back. Twelve years later I manage a team of four payroll professionals and love every minute of it. Never a dull moment and always learning!
