A pro I see in employees in being able to demand their pay before payday is that if they have an unexpected expense, instead of stressing on how they are going to pay for it and not being able to concentrate on their work, they can get the money and not worry. A con is definitely if the employees takes pay that they haven't yet earned and then they leave their employment, the employer being able to get back this pay.
