I think the most important attribute a manager can have to help foster a positive company culture is to be a good listener to their staff. If managers take the time to really listen to their staff, they can create a good connection and make their staff feel appreciated which in turn creates a positive work environment. Even if a manager is not able to change a concern that an employee has, just knowing that the manager is their to actually listen to the concern goes a long way!
