There is an exercise that we did at department retreat called the Marshmallow Challenge. Teams get specific supplies (marshmallows, spaghetti sticks, tape, paper, etc.) and have to work together to build the tallest and strongest free standing tower. It is very interesting to see how the teams work together, collaborate ideas, identify leaders and embrace innovation. All the team members found it to be a very valuable and fun exercise.
